I am building ntp-4.2.6p5, following the instructions of BLFS-7.4 on a LFS-7.2
system.
I installed libcap2-2.22 as a required dependency but the make of ntp fails
with:
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lcap
The reason seems to be that the libcap library is installed under the root
directory:

Just completed another install of LFS and BLFS and decided this time to install
the wicd client for KDE.
Good interface and looks, but I've a problem with using encryption and the
scripts button. The encryption drop down menu is unavailable and the scripts
button
produces the error:
