I'm going through the X.org logs. Seems like the nvidia libraries are
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so by default. it can't load
the kernel modules nvidia and vgahw (which i take to mean the screen).

Thanks lads, I got suse back working and amended fedoras menu.lst for
LFS and SuSE. SuSE uses an nvidia driver i loaded but as it comes up,
it cannot start X as the error reports that the nvidia module cannot
find the kernel. How can I remove the nvidia module altogether as I

I tried copying EVERYTHING from SuSE's /boot (except the grub folder)
into FC4's /boot. I am certain SuSE is on a reiser fs and FC4 is on
ext3 (shouldn't there at least be reiserfs in FC4 at this stage). I
take it ext3 has problems with reiserfs and therefore tried to mount
suse on an ext2 fs. The

Hi everyone! I nearly have my modem working on blfs. The wvdial.conf
looks good, but running wvdial just gets to the stage of getting the
primary and secondary ip address. I have ppp support compiled into the
kernel. I know my authentication details are right, so am I missing
something?

Hi. i'm having dependency issues with evolution 2.2.0. i have
evolution-data-server installled correctly, but evolution claims it
needs libgtkhtml >= 3.6.0 I originally had 3.5.3 so I updated to gtkhtml
3.7 with no luck. Has anyone experienced the same problems?

Hi again. I think I've got my gnome working properly, and gdm. I
reinstalled the install-gdm from blfs-bootscripts. When i changed the
default init level to 5 in /etc/inittab, and rebooted, I get the
message loading gdm

nautilus will let me browse folders and even open blfs-book files usiong
opera. However, every so often, the screen goes black and a message

2.6.8.2 to 2.6.11.x ?? Can I do this just by patching the kernel and
