Hello Folks,
I'm dusting off my LFS 7.0 and BLFS work, and I have been thinkning
about why XOrg won't compile for me.
I keep hearing about references to PKG_CONFIG_PATH in emails here and in
articles and things I find online.
Does anyone think maybe I should NOT skip the rest of that page [ BLFS

I know there is a KDE APP that does this called KSnapshot.
I'm not sure of the dependancies. I understand it would stink to install
95% of KDE to use one utility after going through

Cool. I'm familiar with the drop in replacement nature of of VIM.
I understand it's VI on Steriods - yet pretty much works like

Hello All,
I'm compiling xorgserver and I get this error:
Requested 'xtrans > 1.2.2' but version of XTrans is 1.2
Now, I know I installed xtrans 1.2.6 as part of the libs section. It
compiles and installs fine also.
I resubmitted this problem with the correct version of xtrans I have
installed.

I'm curious if it is a bad deviation from the recommended installable
fonts to only install DejaGnu Fonts and FreeFonts.
I don't really have a need for Chinese, Korean or Japanese fonts really
nor do I like Microsoft's mandates on how you can and can't use their
fonts.

Installing both should be no problem. The client uses the services in
/lib/services/. If you just want a simple IP address for eth0, make

This caught my eye:
cc1: all warnings being treated as errors
I wonder if there is a way to set a configure parameter so that isn't
the case maybe?
Sounds like a setting in POSIX script when someone tosses in the -e
