Just to chip in my tuppence worth on that point, When I tried Evolution the spam quickly
drove me back to Thunderbird. I just couldn't live without it's junk mail filtering.

Well it all works now, it seems GTK+ 2.6.4 fixed the issue
Firstly,
I moved to Evolution 2.0.4 but first had to upgrade the following
dependancies:
gal-2.2.5
libsoup-2.2.2
evolution-data-server-1.0.4
gtkhtml-3.2.5
All the above went in with no problems. I then deleted all my .evolution
settings

Decided to take a look at Evolution as it supports MultiSync and I
thought I might have a whirl at trying to sync my P900 phone. As my LFS
6 kernel recognizes the cradle.
Installed the Evolution 2.0.2 as per instructions in the daily CVS
snapshot. All went well no obvious errors were thrown up.
