Try downloading and running the Microsoft SAPI5 installer:
http://www.clarodownloads.com/Support/SAPI5.MSI
(Link from my company's website: you may want to go find it at the
Microsoft website)
This should fix SAPI5, which should fix the Microsoft Sam voice, which
should let Narrator run.

Hi Aiden,
If I am not mistaken,
Gene has asked that this not be posted to any other sites, without his prior
consent.
Dave and I will get together on this, and let the list know.

Hi Mike,
Here are some options, as sappi problems are not always easy to diagnose or
repair.
1. You can try the resolution that Lino posted.
which I believe is the sappi repair utility which can also be found on
the blind-computing, or jaws-users websites.
Or, you can try this, by-passing the util

Hi Chris,
The problem with most free cd data bases, is that they are
compiled from information uploaded by computer users.
Many times, users share information from music they have downloaded from
music sharing, and that information is incorrect.
My guess is, that if you want the correct information
while uninstalling indexing on my computer my sappy voices no longer work is
there anyway to fix this. the voices are there but won't talk I am missing a
temp file to uninstall them as well. s

Hi Chris,
I don't want to have to do that manually to each one or I could just change
each one to .MP3 manually in the first place. I just want to change them in
one step to .MP3 without a change in volume. Thanks any way.

Would it be possible to put this tutorial on the jaws or blind computing

just thought it'd be easier than having to sit around crying, as I probably
would, if I lost a full tutorial in a disk crash or something, and had no

It might also be the coding of the CD in question. Every one of my Led Zeplin

It's strange.

Yes, I've noticed that with CDex too. I found things working much better
for me with both Easy CD-DA Extractor and Exact Audio Copy.

Hi. I'm using CDex version 1.50 Beta 9. When I rip a CD to my hard drive,
it seems that more often than not the rips are bad because the tracks have a
few skips in them. I can't figure out why that is. My computer has plenty
of memory and a fast CPU. Nor am I running other programs when I'm ri
If, in fact, you do notice a change in volume, one thing you can do, after
the batch conversion, is normalize each file individually.

Hi, the human resources link appears to be a javascript-based link due to
the status line. The combo box works fine however. This is using Mozilla
Firefox 3 and JAWS 9.0.2169. Haven't tried it with IE7.
