HI. No, I never used the control key in this instance. It's a JAWS command
to select text with the shift key along with the JAWS key and the numpad
arrow keys. I use the numpad a lot, so this feature is very handy for me.
There's some sort of conflict it seems like, and I don't' know how to trac
