Can anyone tell me the steps for removing Avast anti-virus? I have a friend
who would like to install MS security essentials instead, but I recall when
I removed Avast there was a hidden part that had to be deactivated or the
program would not uninstall completely. I think I just need a memory

Hello you have to go to settings and then go to trouble shooting then
uncheck the box called self defender
