OK, friends, I just went down a rabbit hole, and I learned a lot,
and I still can't play the game. I'm going to document what I did
here, and maybe something will shake loose and someone can tell me
one last step or something to actually play this game. Sigh.

mattias, if you know how to access the free version, please share
the info. Looks like there was a thread on this mailing list a
long while back after an announcement that the game would be free.
However, the downloads available on the blind-gamers website and
various mirrors are to a paid vers
Where is the question I have. Every time I go to upgrade to the full version,
it wants me to pay.

If I remember the website address correctly, there was a recording on
mainmenu.org.
Somewhere there was also a sterio recording available but I cannot remember
