Q: Can the spool be rewound if so how?
A: This depends on the model. Most small units require that the entire
spool be replaced whilst many larger models have the option to replace
the line only
Q: Where do I get replacement line from?
A: All power outdoor equipment/Mower shops and most hardware r
What Is a Reciprocating Saw?
A reciprocating saw (or sawzall) is an electrical cutting tool that is

I remember my first experience with reloading a weed eater head. My friend had

tried reloading ours, not so easy. His only had one string wher

Mike, where did you get a replacement / universal head. we have the
original very heavy Sears brand Weedwacker and they say they do not
stock a replacement universal head. the one we use all the time is a
cheap McCullough weedeater which has its own spool but you need to
buy a rool o
I failed to mention that it has a place for 2 strings, so it isn't just one
string whacking them weeds, and it works great for our needs.

We couldn't get the original head, on our Troy-built, to work with the string
refill.I bought one of those universal heads with 3 blades. They are made out
of some sort of rubbery matterial. They snap off pretty fast if you hit
anything solid.
My neighbor told me about the universal head you
Hi Mike,
Probably some of that car wax with rubbing compound in it would do the best
job. You wash the vehicle thoroughly and then when dry, you apply the wax which
is a little cloudy to begin and then you rub it to polish the surface. There is
a very very fine rottenstone suspended in it which
You could go to a place that details cars, and they might be able to get it
off. the cost is usually around 150-200. Could be more or less.
Or you could try yourself. I would start with a good car wash shampoo
then try with a mild paint cleaner, Like Meguiar's Deep System paint

Dan,
They do and you can. Trouble is that it is a real pain to wind that stuff on in
the correct direction and well enough that it will unwind when you want to get
a new piece out. A disposable spool pre-wound would be a wonderful if

Dan, Your correct. I bought a couple of Red max weed whackers back in 98
when i started my landscaping company. These things were the top of the line
back then. you could reapply about 20 to 30 feet of weed whacking line when
it ran out, and the best part of it was, at the spinning part at the end

You can get replacement string for the weed eaters but they go through
string quite rapidly.
So ya a 50 or 100 foot spool would be nice if it could be done.
And Lee they make a blade but I don't know if they are universal and how
long they last or how spendy they are.

I guess that is what the stuff is called. My daughter graduated from high
school this year and her friends and family wrote on her windows with this
chalk. It is supposed to wash off. I guess some of it got on her trim and car
and it isn't washing off. Any tricks you guys know about removing
Lee,
I don't have a weed eater, but don't these things come with spools of
line, and aren't they replaceable already?

I thought about that but it is right next to the door and if you get against
it the lime rubbs off. That is why dad made that mixture.

You could just paint it with white wash made from lime and water and see how
long it works, providing there is no more water leak.

I have an interesting problem. There is a concrete wall to which part of my
porch roof is attached. About 30 years ago my late father-in-law made a white
mixture to put on the wall. It consisted of lime, white silica sand and white
cement. Because of a leak in the roof there are water stains on
Michael,
As long as you can accurately identify where the scratches
are, you can do the prep work. Cleaning with a de-waxer and
carefully feathering the edges of the scratch with 300 grit
sand paper.
Who ever drives the car can assist with color matching and
actually applying the paint to the prep
