Yeah, I had a sighted friend look at the vox tape measure, and he said it
doesn't look any more durable than the cobalt one. He also saw many
descriptions saying it is good to use in a home setting, or something to that
effect.

I just got onto caretec's web site and added this thing to cart. It's 99 euros
which equals out to $149.49 in US, ouch! I wish I knew if it was more rugged
than the cobalt one. Then it would be worth the extra money.

Hello. I just visited both sites in the UK that offer this tape measure. One
site I can't even find it, and the other one I found it, but can't find any
"add to cart" button or anything like it. I also tried calling this company
and they said the number in that country does not work, so I don
I got an email back from CareTec the UK distributor of the VOX Talking
tape measure. They got an email from the manufacturer saying that the Vox
is available through LS&S or MaxiAids, both here in the states.
However, I just visited both sites and only found the 9 volt cobolt model.

Well, it finally arrived. Just toying with it for a few minutes I am
impressed. The circles that you touch with the pen are much smaller than I
imagined. maybe about 3/8 inch in diameter. My mental picture was something

tape measurer if they weren't dropped. Hey, we're working with lunber and
concrete here and on ladders, scaffolds, roofs and for crying out loud, some
of us can't see past the end of our noses. Of course we're going to dro
a knockoff.
More expensive i believe and I've no reason to believe it would be any more
reliable.
