them a blink hood. As you were ready to strike the arc, you were suppose to
close your eyes momentarily as the ultra violet rays darkened the lens.
Back then you couldn't adjust the lens strength. They come along ways

Hi Brice,
Using the 7014 rod I welded the uni body stiffeners in my El Camino and
they came out ok.
The good news is that they are in places folks would be hard pressed to see
the welds. My Son who is a sheep metal fabricator and who can write his
name on an aluminum beer can with a TIG machine

Making a weld without eye sight can be done. Use a 70 series rod, which you
can just drag across the seem. 70 series is what is called a low hydrogen
rod. I've down allot of welding with a 7014 rod. This rod is used mostly
in all High Rise Structures. Have you ever heard, Making a weld in t

Ken
I can't tell you how but I spoke with a totally blind mechanic a couple of
years ago and he told me about how when he was in school for mechanics he
had to pass a welding cource. He said his weld was not pretty but it did
hold.
I jhust know that it can be done. I would like to learn to weld my

Hi
FIVE TIPS TO IMPROVE STICK WELDING
Shellfish can make you a better welder. Simply think about CLAMS:
Current setting, Length of arc, Angle of electrode, Manipulation of the
electrode and
Speed of travel. If you're just learning the Stick process, technically
called Shielded Metal Arc Welding, r
