I had it done professionally. They had what I assumed was a basic
canister unit, but there was this auger-brush deal on there that was
powered and pulled itself along through the duct work in some fashion.

Recently I had occasion to remove a couple of floor mounted heat registers
and found that the air ducts were getting a bit nasty.
What do we know about air duct cleaning? My first reaction was that is some
kind of a scam and then my Mom had it done and she claimed that she was
breathing
