Hi all,
Well, I finally have pieces of nylon in the sizes I need for my project.
What I need to do next is glue some of the pieces together. As it turns
out, there are very, very few glues that can bond nylong. After extensive
research on the Internet, I found a product called Surehold Plasti
My technician, who can manage to glue almost anything, says
he's never found anything that works with nylon.
Depending on the strength you need, it might be possible to drill and tap it
then use machine screws, but I don't think you'll get a very sturdy result.
I'll ask my tech again wednesday if
d nylon so Tom's tech may be exactly right.

Hi Bob,
The first thing I tried was J. B. Weld. It took almost no effort to
separate the two pieces of nylon after the glue had set. Most of what I

Ed,
That's a huge set of specs, I doubt there is anything.
sounds to me like the fix is going to be more trouble than
just replacing the siding, but then I'm not there.
I'll ask.

the pvc glue isn't really a glue, it's a specific solvent
for PVC and won't touch much else
I'd bet same for pex.
I think Ed has him self backed into a corner.

If you don't want to do the job right, than get some headless aluminum nails
to match the siding. Nail the offending piece every 4 feet . Or cut off the
