I can access the management GUI and shell on a 5208R but I cannot ping,
load web pages, use email or otherwise access/use any sites on this
machine. It's worked so well for so long I cannot remember much about
troubleshooting an issue like this.

Oddly enough the one site started working like the others.
The only thing I think I changed was turning off Netdata which I can't
imagine had anything to do with the problem.

I'm glad to get more clarity on this issue since it is a question I have
to answer on a regular basis. I think Munroe's suggestion is a good one
and it is very interesting that his example is exactly 24
Just to mention this here: This has been sorted. Lewis and I found out
that the account of a user had been compromised and a botnet was now
sending SPAM through that account via SMTP-Auth.
I don't deserve much credit, Michael is a very good guide to sleuthing!

No, this sure isn't normal

Unfortunately, in the meantime - your server is kept busy sending out
ridiculous numbers of error messages. And sometimes, can even get
blacklisted for all those error messages.

Like I said, this worked before on a different subnet. We just had to
change IPs for a faster connection. There is no DMZ, just the main
network's router on one IP, the 5209R on another and some wireless
access points on another two.

Turned out to be a rule in the 7x.1x2.59.64/28 router blocking port 25
except to the old subnet. It was there because of spam bots on
non-compliant user's computers.
