After a disastrous 6-10 week last week, my hopes for prognostication
glory this season are just about shot. So, like a team out of the
playoffs, I'm going to play out the string here..

For week 16, JDG trailed the benchmark by 2. The benchmark posted a +8
(11-3--2) while JDG scored +6 (11-5). This brings the cumulative 4-week
score to benchmark +28 (41-13--10) with JDG trailing by 8 at only +20
(42-22)
Week 16 Results:
+8 benchmark 11-3--2
+6 JDG 11-5
cumulative week 13-16:
+2
It looks like Week 16 will be an interesting test of JDG versus the
benchmark. They differ on 7 games this week, so there could be a big
difference in results. But JDG trails the benchmark by 6 points after 3
weeks, so he'll need a big difference to beat catch the benchmark.
cumulative week 13,14,
According to my count, JDG trailed the benchmark by 4 points in week 15,
with JDG getting a 0 (8-8) and the benchmark getting a +4 (8-4--4). That
brings the cumulative score for the last 3 weeks to benchmark +20
(30-10--8) and JDG behind by 6 points at +14 (31-17).
week 15:
+4 benchmark 8-4--4

JDG probably won't read this, but I think there is an error in his
count. I count that there were really 8 misses for JDG last week:

I went a disappointing 9-7 last week to go 132-92 on the year. The
Upset Special dropped to 6-9 on the year, after Detroit's snapper blew an
extra point attempt, and I was a gutless wimp and didn't go with my
sneaking suspicion that the suddenly playing-better-than-you-think Dolphins

It was a football sideline interview -- complete with a pass.
ESPN cut short an interview with Joe Namath during Saturday's Jets-Patriots
game -- after some curious answers from the Hall of Fame quarterback.

They may have been lucky in other games, and they were the benificiarries

never gets it right IMO),

not as good as I'd hoped for him.
I have mixed feelings about the 49ers beating the Eagles. That's about
all I'm going to say about the games that have bee

On the bright side, did you know that it can be a lot of fun doing
play-by-play for an infant?
1) Hold infant in front of you, facing you.
2) Peer over infant's shoulder to see the TV.
3) As the play is made, describe it in a high-pitched voice with all
the enthusiasm you can muster. Between
