No need for that. The Baum driver in brltty will cofigure the port in the
correct way.

No. I mean a direct USB cable - no RS-2332 anything. Just pure USB.

I've got only the RS-232 cable bundled.
Are you saying that the device itself only has a serial port, or does it also
have a USB port?
Indeed, it has only a serial port, or

Pictures don't help me, as I'm totally blind, so words will have to do.

Hi Dave,
thanks for the swift answer. I tried usb:/dev/ttyUSB0 and usb:ttyUSB0
and same result. Log is attached. I cannot get rid of the adapter, since
RS-232 is the default adapter, thus I need the USB adapter to make it
run on modern PC. It didn't work through the original RS-232 connection

Your log shows that the device isn't responding. Try using a direct USB
connection, i.e. get rid of the serial adapter, and specifying usb: (yes, with
the trailing colon) as the device. So:

The first thing you need to do is to install Android's SDK (software
development kit) on your computer. That'll give you the adb (Android debug
bridge) command. It has a logcat function for getting the log.

Do other chords work? For example, does Space+h (dots 125) take you to brltty's
help screen? As I recall,
Hi Dave, and thank you for your reply.
I had wondered about that, and I was trying the command with all keys
pressed at the same time, but also as a sequence. Unfortunately, I also
don't know how to get the device's log.
Best regards

Hi,
How did you install brltty on windows?
brltty can be installed in windows which works fine here in my qemu
based windows vm.
Press windows+u and select install brltty there.
You have to select your braille driver there as well.
Last Step is to enable brlapi service in windows.

Hello,
I recently installed the latest BRLTTY on my Android phone. (I have a
Kapsys SmartVision2 phone, which is a dedicated phone for blind/vision
impaired people, has a physical keypad and touchscreen, and is running
Android 6.0.) I was looking forward to being able to use the chorded
