"El Torito" is the floppy emulation specification. Is ther another for
of bootable CD you are looking for?
I guess I'm missing something, cause it sounds like:
"Can I boot from my CD if I tell my BIOS not to boot from my CD?"
What am I missing? ;-/

I'm affraid that GRUB in fact uses floppy emulation provided by BIOS.
