ive been having the same problem, it happens when you install 1 version of
grub then install another, if you type grub-install '(drive)' twice it

still having trouble with splashimage, i compiled the redhat srpm a grep
vga16 grubbinary returns that there is matches for vga16 but there is
still no splashimage command nor do splashimages work

help, a new command pager, a new option --lines to the command
terminal, and so on. I did a few tests, and they worked well. Try
the new features, and send a bug report, if any.
I think the remaining is to update the manual.
