Me being one with the "I can't use my system if you check the bitfield,
but at least it doesn't lock up the computer" thinks checking it would
probably be a good idea... just as long as you provide me with an option
to make it work here again :)

I'm assuming the bug is in e2fs_stage1_5, though I don't know for sure..
Anyway, when booting with the latest CVS tree of GRUB (in an attempt to
get access to the map command), I get "stage1 stage1.5", then
"GRUB loading, please wait...", then "Error: 18".. It seems the
e2fs_stage1_5 doesn't real
