I have tried to compile grub2 but get error message:
checking for __lzo_init_v2 in -llzo2... no
checking for __lzo_init_v2 in -llzo... no
checking for __lzo_init2 in -llzo... no
configure: error: LZO library version 1.02 or
boot screen I press c for the grub prompt and the find command does not
show results from other partitions hda6 and hda7 that a grub command from a
terminal when I am in ubuntu (hda3).
Should I trash the grub I am using and replace it with another boot loader?

hda2 with setup from ubuntu and the grub prompt at the boot screen. Since
grub from ubuntu can see hda6 and hda7 I dont think problem is fault of
BIOS. What do I do to fix this?
