manual should be updated to recommend
explicit durations instead;
I don't know the answer to the first question, but let's assume
that it's no and update the manual accordingly. Could you
write up the necessary changes?

In 2.11.14, if one enters a tuplet shorter than tupletSpannerDuration,
the bracket won't be terminated correctly. The bug didn't occur in
2.10.0.
