Fair enough. I don't mean to sound impatient or ungrateful - Lilypond is the best thing since sliced bread and I am eager to start using the new features in 2.6. I am just just trying to avoid going to extra effort converting old files as a result of my own ignorance of the process. --Colin On

This may turn out to be a bit of an inconvenience. I use "" \translate a lot to position text precisely on a score, because AFAIK it is the only way to do it, as \translate will not work without something in front of it.
