I too used a Pryme AL-800 antenna for a long time. Then I graduated to an Arrow antenna. Much easier than the AL-800. Your choice of using an Arrow without a built-in diplexer which is good for about 10 watts or use your own duplexer or use two individual HT's or radios. I have done it all thre

With a single dual band Ht I often found that in working the analog FM birds, my best antenna was a Pryme AL-800 telescoping whip about 32 inches long. I made over 8000 QSOs using only a good Dual band radio in half or full duplex and that antenna.Take care to protect the connector. DO NOT often p
