Posting for Kyle Wright who around 8 a.m. had a flock of 20 Bohemian Waxwings
traveling with 15 Cedars in vicinity of the horse barn on Yenny Road. Birds
presently not being seen: 9:15 am, Xmas Sunday, 12/22. But, hopefully are
still nearby.

SFO group 5 had great looks at 3 Bohemian Waxwings at the Edwards Cliff
Preserve at the end of Teeter Rd. These particular birds were perched
openly just inside the preserve to the south of the open area near the
entrance. There was a flock of approximately 75 waxwings while we were in
the preser
Susan Newman and I just came across a flock of about 30 Bohemian Waxwings in
the trees along the road just west of the Northwood Apts. off Warren Road. The
trees are on the north side of the road on the border of the overgrown field
that used to be a public pool many decades ago.

Flock of Bohemian Waxwings -- about a dozen birds, as far as I could see -- in
some berry-bearing trees on the north Wilson Trail. Very cooperative (not to
mention beautiful)! I was there at around 4 PM.

Are visible sallying from the tall trees on north side of the Lab or
Ornithology building. Very cool to see them flycatching with Tree Swallows
going after the same prey!

I just saw (about 7 pm April 4th) 9 Bohemian Waxwings hanging out in the
top of a white ash tree on Eastman Hill. I didn't see any cedar waxwings
with them.

The Bohemian Waxwings were no longer in the corner along Sapsucker Woods Rd.
when I walked over at 1:30 , so I decided to cross Rte 13 onto Brown Rd. to see
if they were after any of the fruit trees that are around the industrial park
near the airport. Just after I crossed, however, the flock of

Marie Read put us onto a large flock of BOWAs this crisp morning. The first

Hi,
I never imagined that technology could or would be harnessed to actually dumb
down birding . The wild turkey binoc is, in my opinion, a very bad idea and
takes most of the fun out of birding. If this thing sells it is a truly sad day
for nature study . I only hope it is the dismal failure it

Walking into the building a few moments ago I had a flock of at least 8
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS sitting in the trees north of the Lab building, just east of
the feeders, along the edge of the service drive.
They called, flew off over the building, circled back overhead, and then I lost
them.

A flock of 16 — all BOHEMIANS — outside my office window 3 minutes ago. May
have dropped down into trees or shrubs near the beginning of the Wilson Trail
on north side of Cornell Lab building. I reached for my phone to try to get at
