I have a 7960G SCCP phone running P00308000500 that I am trying to convert
to SIP on CME.
1. I registered the phone via SCCP to CME.
2. Deleted the SCCP config and configured for SIP.
3. Rebooted the phone multiple times.
The phone cannot locate the SCCP files (because they do not exist) but
I have seen and heard several complaints about Ipexperts on the forums and I
would think every little of bit advice could only help.
In the spirit of us improving things... What exactly is it that you
heard badly about us? If there are things we are doing wrong, I would
very much like to hear

Thanks Jeff.
Yes I verified each of those. About 3 reboots of the phone later it
registered. Beats me. Thanks for your input.

No thank you. I would rather discuss this with our customers, than

If I want to modify the SIPDefault.cnf file in CME flash what is the best
way to accomplish this ?
For example, I want to change this parameter...
telnet_level: 0;
to
telnet_level: 2;
within the configuration file, how can I accomplish this ? Does the router
have a built in text editor ?
Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
Caveats: NONE
Mike -
I don't know of any way to do it inband. You can do it out
of band with any text editor

Future Forces Integration Directorate (FFID),
You need to create the SIPMACADDRESS.cnf file.
To do this add the mac and phone type inside a voice register pool. Then go
back to voice register global and create profile. Verify the
SIPMACADDRESS.cnf file is created (or said alias) by using the show voice
register tftp- cmd.
BUT- it¹s better
Hi Vik,
Yes, I have the phones registered with SIP UCME, but how do I get the
ability to telnet to the phone without modifying the SIPDefault.cnf file
externally (off of the router) ? Is there a way to edit the SIPDefault.cnf
file on the router itself ?
telnet_level: 0;
to
telnet_level: 2;
Performing a shut, no shut of the port will cause the phone to request sip
load, try that if still with issues, please post your config and show flash
output,
Thanks,

I have been digging around and have been unable to find a way to pull (in
this case) the default audio off a CUCM 7.0 box for a MOH source. I have

Under the CM Administration web page, go to your Media Resources menu and
click the MOH Audio File Management menu option (not sure if I'm getting
the exact wording correct on that, but it's close enough to not be mistaken
with something else).
Once inside this menu option, click Find to see

Ok, I apologize...I was doing this from memory and I would have sworn the
