E1 is 2.048 Mbps link , which is used for both data voice. Normal E1 use CAS E1 PRI use CCS signalling. Pls refer CCNA Voice Exam Certification Guide. It will give you theoritical background. In configuration , depending on Data / Voice we may need DSP s , different models of E1 , PRI cards.
