I got an email this morning indicating that a package shipped for me
from IPX I assume it's the VODs update cause I don't remember ordering
any thing else. (Or was that part of my drunk internet buying spree...

You have to be a partner and a uc partner at that. They kicked back my
order (after I waited almost a month and our global account managers

Please try the following:
1) Upgrade to the latest release of Workstation
2) If you have it uninstall Cisco (or other VPN Client)
3) If you have McAfee or other AV w/firewall try turning this and
windows firewall off
4) can you go from VM -> your default GW on your home NW?
5) Sounds silly,
What versions of VMWare and host os? Try the latest download. If you
have firewalls let the VMWare binaries thru

I believe that when it asks you to reboot the first time (or vmware
gives you a message about the cd-rom being locked, disconnect the

So I had a look at vmworld.com for Linux best practices the one thing
that jumped out is that they recommend not allocating more than 768 mb
ram. There are some other things which if any one has time can try.
Install VMWare tools and adjust some kernel parameters for the timers.
