Hi,
I suppose any program that makes cartoons can handle a C_alpha-only-file. I
just tried rasmol and molscript without problems. pymol probably also works,
or ccp4mg.
Have you had any problems, or are you just not familiar with programs that
make cartoons?
Cheers, Tim

Before providing the label with the 'label' command, you must set the
'labelmask' to contain a '%g' at the Position of your greek letter, e.g.
set labelmask '.%g'
label "Ca"
should produce an 'alpha' for the second letter.
As far as I remember, this does not work with Raster3d-Output, though,

Hi,
this looks very familiar to me. I am pretty certain you have phenix
installed, too, and ccp4i does use the phenix version of phaser, which shows
this behaviour.
You can test this by typing 'which phaser' from the command line.
You should make sure that $CBIN comes before the phenix path, e.g

nya, I meant a variable to call awk..., sorry for the typo.
you its name then set it from /usr/bin/awk
to /bin/awk and things should work.

Hi,
I just found out that my magic file contains a large section with respect to
crystallographic file formats. I was pretty impressed. According to the
header it is attributed to Joe Krahn. Full ACK to him!

As long as I have been using the ccp4i (which has been a couple of years
now), this magic button has been there, and it has even been in the 'lower
left corner': When you hold your mouse button on the "Run" button, a submenu
appears, the second item of which is saying "Run&View com file". This o

the file itself for the reference mtz file? This seems extremely error prone
to me.

Hello Oliver,
if by 'conventional' you mean
- download the source code

I did not share your experience a couple of days ago when I did that. I used
both the ftp and the download interface and nothing was missing.
