Can the DVD+RW-tools package be compiled for HP-UX 10.20 systems or is it meant only for Linux systems.

I am interested in how to best create images of filesystems other than
ISO on Unix based systems. ISO has a lot of eccentricities (Rock Ridge,
Joliet, filename/path-depth restrictions, etc.) that demand a complex
custom application (mkisofs) to properly create. However, things should

Greetings,
I have a few questions concerning DVD+R[W] writing. IMHO, I think the
issues brought up here are prime candidates to add to the existing
sources of information on DVD writing software (such as the important
FAQs and READMEs or the dvd+rw-tools and cdrecord-ProDVD applications).

I admit I used a new medium, but I don't think it is the fault from the
medium, because there are no errors in dmesg.

Hi,
I am trying to write some iso images onto a cd burner using a

I am successful on another machine using a LITE-ON LTR-16102B (I bought the

it was not). Anyway, the er

In addition, I have no problem accessing (reading and writing) the tape drive,

before).
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a Yamaha CRW4416S SCSI CD-RW drive which is displaying some
odd behavior. The CD-RW drive will not read CD-R media. It will read
regular CD-ROMs and CD-RW media and play audio CDs. However, when I try
to mount a filesystem on a CD-R, I get I/O errors and a failure to find
the filesystem.
