In case attachments aren't allowed in the list, here's the Dropbox url

uk.org.thekelleys.dnsmasq is the DBus object path for dnsmasq. The author of

Does anybody know why php-mcrypt was removed from the extras repo when CentOS 6
came out?
I've been going through the archives and I saw plenty of people complain about
it but no explanation for the reason.
I know it's available in EPEL but I want to avoid third party repos if at all
possible.
in CentOS 6.6, dnsmasq-2.48-14.el6 installs file

Exactly, SELinux is great. Its a good room to have when you can get it
working and it's another good layer of protection. Its better to learn to
use the tool then just turn it off.
Not every label has a rw option but it never hurts to try. :-)

Yeah dude, exactly. Except
The easiest answer is to edit the Selinux config file. By default it is
set to enforce, which really locks it down.
cd /etc/selinux
edit the config file and change SELUNIX=enforcing to SELUNIX=permissive
Save the file and restart httpd, you should be fine..

Adding 'rw' to the command did the trick. I tried httpd_sys_content_rw_t and
that works fine! Thanks for the tip!

Hey all,
I have a simple php app working that writes some info to a text file. The
app will only work correctly if SELinux is disabled. If it's enabled and
try to use the app, it fails. It seems that SELinux is denying the app
ability to write to the text file.
So I tried running the following c

Hi Darren,
Any reason you cant use virtualisation and / or thin client kind of action?
If for instance you have a linux hypervisor installed on each machine
you could kick up a virtual machine with the required environment.
dirty up the image and then replace the image with a clean centos /

Thanks for the reply.
The idea of using a VHD(X) was to enable use to use disk imaging tools such as
ghost, wds etc to deploy images of this type of system to over 500 machines.
We have not found an imaging solutions that can image and deploy via multicast

Hello,
Im trying to find some good info on building RPMs that set the correct

Any ideas?
