My father is running into an issue on his recently-purchased house where the
wallpaper was directly affixed to bare wallboard.
It won't come off. The paper of the wallboard and the paper of the wallpaper
are now one and the same.
He tried to paint over it, but the dark flowers and ducks could s
I hadn't considered insulation. I was just thinking, "I've knocked
walls down, and I've put walls up." And, of course, that the knocking
down bit is a hell of a lot of fun. :-)
Also hadn't considered trim. For the first time in my life, I'm living
somewhere that's got more than just some b

Well, not really - particularly if you have nice trim you want to
keep. If you put up new wallboard over the existing wallboard, you
either have to remove all the trim and re-set it and risk the depth
not matching anymore, or you have to be lucky enough to have deep

While adding water to a chemical may not cause a noticeable reaction in
household-strength vinegar (acetic acid), it most c

you can get gallon bottles for about $1.50
we have used 2 gallons so far, & will probably go through another 2.
just don't boil the vinegar, it will loose its good stuff.
boil the water & add equal parts.
