thank you forgot about 97. BWI runs about $30 from Laurel, figure $70
from White Flint.

National has a HUGE taxi queue. You are however likely to get a DC cab
with no meter. I'd make a remark about turbans but I am not sure
whether this is still the case.

usta drive a cab in Montgomery County. Routinely ran $75 to Dulles
from Gaithersburg; I'd guess maybe $50 from White Flint to Dulles. Not
familiar with prices FROM Dulles but you might want to be aware that
as I recall it's a monopoly out there so I'd expect more.

Actually, a much better option from BWI is take 95 south to 198; 198
West becomes 28, then take that to Rockville. I took a Maryland
Shuttle from BWI that way in December; cost about $35, IIRC. I don't
think it was rush hour, though.

An alternative would be to get the MARC train to the end of Metro's
Orange Line, then take the Orange Line to Metro Center, then the red
Line to the nearest stop to the Hotel. Then either get a shuttle or a
cab to the Hotel itself. That way you miss 90% of the real ugly part
of the traffic tieups.
Your best option is to come in from National and take the metro. Its
the easiest way to get to the hotel.

IMO, National (DCA) is hands down the easiest. The appeal of the
others is that they generally have cheaper flights.
In addition to cabs, there's the Metro (light rail). Here's a map:

There is Metro yes. Metro has a National Airport stop. Not sure how
convenient it is to the actual terminal.

for cabs your best best is National Airport by far coming in. It's
also th eclosest when leaving. Dulles and BWI would both be tough at
evening rush hour though BWI has many more alternate routes. Avoid the
beltway. Unless they have gotten around to building the ICC I'd
suggest maybe Shady Grove th
if you fly to bwi, its easy, hop onto 97, head south, hit up 50 west,
then 495 north, then the exit you need... its EASY to drive, not
really a cab ride, not that i would take... maybe from dulles or
national, it would be a cab ride.

The airport runs a shuttle from Dulles for $22. So, I'm guessing a cab
from there is going to be way pricey.
National is on the metro route, and the White Flint stop is "right
across the street" theoretically. It's a 45 minute metro ride, so
again, I'm thinking cab is expensive.

Isn't there some sort of rail system up there that could be used?

Yah, that's what I figured. So, Dulles or National it is. Any idea how
long the shuttle from the hotel to Dulles would be? The metro looks to
be about 45 minutes to National (note how I keep refusing to call it
Reagan).

So, for you folks that live in the DC area, or are familiar with
itI'm looking at flight costs for CF-United and it looks like
flying into BWI and renting a car would be cheaper than flying into
Dulles or National/Reagan. How nasty of a drive would it be from BWI
to North Bethesda, and how long
