I had a similar situation when I had my D50. Mounted it on my tripod and
then put the tripod over my shoulder...and instantly felt it get
lighterand then I heard the camera hit the pavement.

my main lens on my Nikon has been an 18-200. It's a great walkabout lens.
The Nikon 1 has something similar, but it doubles the size of the camera
so I can't see me getting it anytime soon. I probably won't get similar
lenses for the Nikon 1 as I'll still use my DSLR when appropriate. e.g.

How does the camera compare against the current crop of Nikon semi pro

the camera will affect the way you take pictures. With my D80, I'm usually
