good luck. I've had pretty good luck with the Apple DVI adapter, but
Other World Computing makes very good equipment and add ons.

Ya I'm going to exchange it. I'll also bring my laptop with me and try it out
on some monitors they have at the px.

That's what I'm thinking right now. Hey Bruce can you get another
adapter and see if that works?

You don't need a Thunderbolt monitor. I've had a Thunderbolt -> DVI
connector (and a cheap one, at that) hooked up from my iMac to a Samsung
2343BWX for more than a year - no problems at all, and it worked
immediately. Very likely just a bad adapter.

Yeah. Well I figured out that the monitor sees the adapter. When I unplug it, I
get a message that says no DVI-D cable, and when I plug it in it says entering
power save mode. Weird.

Unfortunately Cam and some of the other Mac users don't seem to be
available. You may want to check with JJ though.

I can assume that the monitor works because when I turn it on the display says
entering power save mode, so it shows something at first. I am going to assume
that this particular model won't work with my mac. I will exchange the adaptor
though just to rule that out.

It could be the monitor, or the connector. wish I could help more but
I'm thoroughly burned out. Have a good night.

Unfortunately I can't because none of my other windows laptops have DVI
connectors, only VGA. To be honest I have not used this monitor since 2010 when
I got rid of the desktop it was hooked up to, but it worked fine then.

Have you tried it on another computer? I'm using an Acer monitor with
a DVI with no problems.

Hey Mac folks,
So today I bought a Thunderbolt to DVI connector and tried to power up my Dell
LCD monitor I have, but no joy. System preferences says that there is no device
plugged in. Googled this but could not find my exact issue. Does anyone know if
there is something that I have to do to m
