Aww, man, I hate that. I've held two dogs while they've gone to that
particular sleep. I'm raising a glass to a friend well loved and who
loved well, I've no doubt.

My parents just lost one of their springer spaniels...he was an old guy.
They had adopted him and his brother about 6 or 7 years ago (they were
already adults). It's never easy. I lost a cat that I had several years
before I married my first wife...she was one of my kids :-( I still get
teary e

We are at the other end of the experience, having just got an 12 week old
Ridgeback puppy. He's been in our house for 3 weeks, and the whole family
are so attached to him already that I can't imagine how upset we'll be if we
were doing what you are now.
