Someone said I should go through the streets with a bell saying "old drives for
new" and trade all the smaller ones for new empty ones. I thought about it but
do I really want to ruin people like that? Even an 80 gig drive has over 5,500
comics on it and you can't just read one.

I have one of these and I love it. Easily portable, pretty fast. And just
plain "pretty" :)
I use it as a back up for all my data. Then I have a server that has a copy
of all that. Works great!

Nope.
That's still an achilles heel of Vista. Everything is damned slow.
I never get anywhere near my full MB/s on my SATA Raid 0 1RPM Raptors.
It's insane really :-\
And SP1 made this a bit better, but not by much.

We're talking images in zip/rar files. No 'real' programs to speak of. Just
terabytes of comic files. If the drive is rarely used then the chance of
failure is very small.
