What font(s) are specified for that text? Does it happen on that font for
the whole page, or just for some of it? Does it happen for text marked bold,
italic, only specific sizes?

(multiple browsers might mean one thing, one browser something else. same
with sites, is it all of them, just some)
It could be a bad or corrupted font file, it could be spyware, or virus, or
system setting, or browser setting.
