I went into internet explorer a naked girl wanted my credit card
number. I second the housecall.antivirus.com but if you are still
having problems after all that, I found the forums at spywareinfo.com

No problem. I actually found that both of them caught things the other
didn't.
I run these on a weekly basis too

Thank you for your interest in Windows Update
Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that helps you get the
most out of your computer.
You need to be running a version of Internet Explorer 5 or higher in order
to use Win

My Mcafee AV software now scans for "potentialy unwanted programs".
It does pick up stuff that spybot and ad-aware miss from time to time.
Grisoft's AVG might do this as well. AVG is free and Mcafee used to
have a 2 week demo version that you could download. I don't know if
they still do.

I have never been able to get IE back to a clean state once it gets that bad.

closet until I am certain no software is spying on me. Sometimes for weeks.
No, seriously, I have no good strategy for circumventing it other than to
use NMAP every once in a while to monitor what my computer is sending out
