I do too. I got a new Char-Grilled grill for father's day and love it! I
have been a weber man for years but the increased cooking space on this new
one is superb! It also has a firebox attachment that I can buy to be able
to smoke some awesome meats. Looking forward to some slowcooked ribs in my
My wife and I are going organic with some veggies for this summer. I love
growing my own veggies. As far as grilling, we grill all year round. To me some
meats like steak and chicken as well as ribs don't taste good unless its
grilled.

It gets no better than fresh corn on the cob. Here in the midwest, we've
had a bit of a flood which has delayed much of the corn crop. Lately things
have finally started to warm up and the corn should start shooting up
soon...but they say it's going to be delayed by a few weeks.
I can't wait.
I miss midwestern corn...
The corn--the quotes mean that it's only technically corn; the color and
shape are right, but no flavor--here in western Washington is essentially
good for about a week out of the year... some years there's not a good corn
week...
Did I mention that I miss midwestern
Farmstand and farmhouse literally a half mile from my house that sold corn
fresh out of the field got taken over by eminent domain for a highway
project this year. I'm *really* going to miss that. Like $3.00 for 6 huge
ears.

I drive about 10 mintues from my house each year to a pair of brothers who
park their pickup truck in a parking lot. They pick the corn that morning
and load up their truck. They give you a baker's dozen for $5.
Like a sore peter...you just can't beat it.

WE have a great farmers market on Thursdays and Saturdays. There's one
farmer there whose farm I pass on my way to work. Wonderful stuff. I prefer
roasting it on the grill - amazingly addictive. Its a wonderful side with
steak on the grill with vegetable kabobs and basmati rice.

we had corn on the cob with dinner tonight. I love corn on the cob.
My guess is it is from FLA or GA. Can't wait for the local corn to come in.
In my opinion, Jersey has the best corn, but the farmers around here come
in a very, very close second.
