I started watching season 3 and added rented 1 and 2 between seasons.
You need one and two but 3 + is when it gets much better.
My point is I gave season one to my neighbor and they got bored with
it. Stick with it, it's definitely worth it. Each show from S3+ is
the most intense hour you'll wa
Oz was done by the same team that did Homicide, Life on the Streets,
also one of the best shows ever. For some reason, I love cop shows.
You won't regret getting the Wire. There is one five minute scene in
season one where tow of the detectives are reviewing a crime scene
that is worth the purch
OZ is awesome, but you need to watch it from season one, other wise huge
parts of it don't make sense.

I watched the first several seasons of the Shield. It was so different, so
intense. Shit happened on there every week that made you say "No flippin'
way!". Loved it when Chiklis pulled out the gun and shot the cop! I can't
even imagine what they have in story for the series finale, which is coming
Agreed on both the shield and the wire.
