Okay, the RSVP emails have officially gotten annoying. Can this list be reconfigured
so responses go to the sender instead of the whole list?

I use CVS and like it. Works well for distributed projects where team
members aren't on a LAN.

I've
built some substantially huge CF sites, and using instead of
wherever you can is critical. Execution time is probably
not the key issue, really, it's development time. If you can build the
site more reliably, faster, and cheaper, a half millisecond per p

Tuesday is the only day I could make it.
Overland Park is more convenient for me.
Flash remoting would be somewhat interesting, but SOAP and general web
services are more along the lines of what I see myself working on.

I
usually use MS Access "queries" or SQL Server "views" for _all_ data access, so
I can rename things on the db side and give CF a nice view of the world.
Works out great when there's a namespace collision like this. Also makes
changing funky joins and whatnot easier, since I do it just on

The
biggest advantage I see to SOAP is that it gives you a standard interface, so if
someone else wants to talk to the service in the future, it's easy for them to
do so.

I believe the max statement length for SQL Server is 8,000 characters. I've

I think we're just experiencing the flip side of 3 years ago, when I'd hire
people who barely had a pulse, as long as they were trainable and would show

showing up until after noon. Sometimes it was like managing a McDona

Honestly, I think the original question may have been a SQL question, not a
CF question. ;-)
