My understanding of the issue is as follows (please correct me if I'm wrong).
The tendencies of cloud liquid (condensed) water represented by the proposed
standard names refer to the slow falling process of cloud liquid water.
Th
dard names which describe
the cloud budget of various GCMs, and the above option (1') is exactly
what we need for this purpose (i.e., it fits the variable name in a GCM).
