Not really, as the fact they are worthless (not useless) is no doubt the
reason they do not take them. In the professional world whether you are
ColdFusion certified or not means nada - certainly from what I have seen in
the UK.
I mean, isn't it mostly multiple choice still?!
The Brainbench is
After hitting a submit button on form #1, form #2 processes the update with a
cfquery statement and changes the record.
A cflocation is used to take the user automatically back to form #1, but the
data is not refreshed.
How do I automatically get back to form #2 with the new dataa showing? Rig

Ever notice that generally those who say the CFMX certification is useless are
those who boast that they don't have it?
just a thought.

create "myFunction" outside of "someFunction", but call it from within.

Define another cffunction inside your component, or use the script
without the function declaration (i.e. use the cffunction and
cfargument tags to declare the function then start the cfscript that
uses those arguments). Do the return with a cfreturn.

Thanks Mark. Can you (or anyone really), show me the proper way to do this?

Chris,
I would be wary of using cfscript just for supposed performance gains
over tags. My understanding is that those gains were eliminated (or
reduced to the point of insignificance) in CF 6.x and 7.x. Here are
what I see as the pros and cons of cfscript. These points are largely

That's great Ben, just what I needed. Funnily enough, I'd made a start on
this last night in between baby feeds (I have 3 month old twins) but that
looks great.
Cheers, and have a great weekend!

This is the only time I have had odd template problems, first thing I do in
a Dev environment is turn it off.

Their CF certification is about the same, and your score will be
listed/ranked as well, so you can even boast about your ranking if you like.

I think that is the point. It really doesn't mean a whole lot, and it should
not be an indicator of how much you know (or do not), as Snake noted, it is
not exactly a test, not like we took at Uni! I think if you took it now you
would pass no worries.
If I were were you, I would save your money.
