Have you checked to make sure there is no firewall software or any
security software? Rather vague, but I tried to install CFMX with
TCP/IP advanced security limiting the open ports.it would install,
but not completely. Once I disabled this, reinstalled, then re-enabled,
I had no problems.
You may be able to find more references as to what the Microsoft Jet 4
SP3 contains, but I found that I had to install it, as well as the MDAC
update, for my DSN's to work.
