A lot of us on the list would like that code snippet, too. You can take
this off the list stuff to an extreme.

I just wish that Studio had an "on the fly" MACROS capability to capture
and replay keystrokes or mouse clicks -- man would that save a big bunch of
time (and brain cells) when doing detailed, redundant, repetitive work.

I hope this is appropriate use of bandwidth. Every "enterprise" must carry
some overhead as a cost of remaining oriented towards their objective (like
accounting systems or annual meetings). So it is with mailing lists as well.
While Michael as list owner makes the final decision, I suspect he

Hi Ken,
Surely you are aware that you don't need to fix this mime stuff ("it's a
feature")-- that's just Bill helping you do what he knows ought to be done.
If you don't like so much help and having to defend yourself against
against your software supplier -- well, just get Eudora.
Sorry, can't

If anyone else is working with MS Access you've probably had the same
annoying experience!!
I often have to swap backed up databases (.mdb files) and if I've been
using the old database that I want to copy over -- there is always a damn

There's an unencryted (modifiable) tag available on the Allaire Site
(called ComboBox.cfm) that does precisely what you want to do -- using
Javascript to divide the functionality between the two form elements and
allowing each to influence and know (somewhat) what the other is doing.

If you can live without the usual security issue tags (CFFILE, CFOBJECT,
etc) take look at Dantor.com. $10 / month CF 4.0 hosting (basic account --
self service everything through a CF interface) on T3s. Support is about
average via email, but they do respond and everything works -- I have two

It isn't hard at all to see the appeal of a WYSWYG html editor when you're
looking at manually adjusting some huge table with scores of rows (like
changing color, etc ...). However, with the right technology / software
such a task shouldn't be all that hard (or unpleasant) in a text editor
like CF
I've been thinking on the same subject, but haven't had time to play with
it yet.
What about using FORM element values (value=' 'or text or hidden) for a
limited means of passing variables. Both HTML (the JS DOM) and CF access
that data directly at different times, but maybe on different sides
Hi Scott,
If you need that in a database format you might contact the FAA in Oklahoma

Hi Steve,
If it's on your ISP server, and you need to get rid of it to FTP something,
do a dummy query on a non-existant table in the same database. That will
delete it (until someone else opens a table in that .mdb file). I simply
reboot on my testing machine.
