ever posts to a list and auto-sends an email trying to make you a customer of theirs.
Then pretends that you are somehow "special" (This special offer is just for you :-)

Where did they get your e-mail address?
It's spam if someone takes your e-mail address somewhere off
the web (or a listserve, like this) and sends you an unsolicted
e-mail in an attempt to sell something.
