So will it be possible in CF MX Pro to limit the resources
a hosted customer can access based on the directory in which
his templates are or not?
Not with CF MX Pro's feature set alone, I don't think. You only get one big
sandbox in CF MX Pro.
BTW, giving a price cut is not an option.

Yup. Christine already

Well, that should save some work. Sandbox Security appears
to be Enterprise Edition only, so we will simply leave the
CF hosting business because there is no way to justify such
an investment :(
Yeah, that's a tough break. However, it seems like the big thing you lose
Technically with Pro, the same set of resource permissions is given to all the
templates, no matter how many CF applications you host.

Maybe for the market as a whole, but not very likely for our niche.
What would you offer as an alternative?
Currently we also offer ASP, PHP,

That's because
Nope, no more advanced security. There is a new security model in CFMX
though - _very_ simple and very elegant. Check the docs for more info.

In place of that, CF MX has a different security architecture, which appears

I'm with you all on this. It was hell but a necessary evil
for our apps. I'm just wondering how bad the migration will
be. I need to find where we define the user directory.
I'll keep looking.
It shouldn't be that traumatic a change. Read Chapter 16 of the Developing
ColdFusion MX
Just went thru that Chapter. I don't see any documentation on using NT
groups as User directories. I hope I'm just missing it.

Under the new security model (um, we need a better name for it - and I'm
not sure what we are calling it, so let's just call it CFMX-Sec), you
are responsible for handling authentication within the cflogin tags.
So, if you want

There are lots of COM interfaces for this. The one I'd suggest (but haven't
yet tested myself with CF MX) is Lewis Sellers' IHTK:

I've tested an older version of SA-Admin, and some but not all of it

Just a crazy question I've always wondered about, but never had the
necessity to research. Can cfldap query information from Active Directory?
AD does support LDAP queries
