I used enterprise manager to use TCP/IP, named pipes, and multi protocol. I couldn't connect on anything but (local) before I did that. Bob Everland I just checked with the OSQL utility and I can log into it with the sa username and password. So I know that works now, I also used the update

I have installed ODBC 2.8, the problem is it's CFMX's drivers that are the issue. If I connect with an ODBC socket then it works just fine. We have another server here that is connecting just fine with SQL server. I was just curious if anyone else has run into this issue. Is it slower to be

I am using MSDE with an ip address 127.0.0.1 to be exact, I'm using a native SQL login of sa. I did the same thing with the ODBC driver and it connected. I was wondering if there is an update or something. It's just my personal machine I am having issues. I have also installed the latest Java SDK

I am using MSDE 2000 SP3, and I am just about certain that I am using SQL authentication because I had to enable it (I have enterprise manager installed to connect to our SQL 2000 server, which also will administor the MSDE server) So the only thing I have left is the update that is out there,
