That's why you use guides. If you place a guide, the select everything on

Yeah, but you've got to know exactly what pixel you cut a side on
and then make sure you move over only one pixel to cut the image
beside it...it's a pain in how tedious it is...

a program understand where you wanted to make the t

I'm referring to using guides inside Photoshop. But I'm not talking about
using the slice tool. I place my guides, then draw a selection for the image
I want. Then I CTRL + SHI
at 'em, buy 'em!

I'd be happy be happy to do that Ben. I'll address each point in turn:

You say Fireworks jus

I'd
consider myself past Master level and I STILL learn cool things about

Hi, Andy...
I use PS for most of my designs and end up slicing them from within PS.
I do manual slicing in PS, but that's tricky...one pixel off and...well, you
know.
But you suggest no slicing from wit
h
area you want to slice. This way you ONLY get the areas you need as images
and you can name each image whatever you like.

Not to shoot Ben down, but you do NOT want to switch to Fireworks.
Photoshop is far more powerful, flexible, offers more options and it's
just plain better than Fireworks. I was forced to use Firework

Yeah, you gotta use image ready for slicing. Slice to Guides... Best
thing since
it was in Photoshop.

Anyone have a good reference on how to slice up a PSD? I have a client who
wants me to slice up their design, because they don't have anyone available
to do it. Google searches bring up tons of results, but I was wondering if
anyone had one that they liked better than others.
