I run two perm nodes. They are on a 100mbps switched Ethernet network
connected to the Internet via a cable modem (~1.5mbps). If I reduce the
bandwidth limit from the default of 10 to 5 I have noticed:
- the node will run longer without having to wipe the datastore
- there will be more k
In this case, we aren't sure who "Big Brother" is. There are many people

China, I'm sure.
It may have been the CIA or NSA, but we'll never know for certain.

Thanks for fixing the DS bug!
I noticed the config sequence didn't ask for a datastore size... wonder
why...? I usually crank mine up to 2 gig or so; believing this would help
freenet by giving it more storage space.
Also, the script doesn't launch freenet into the background.
Also, where is "

THANKS FOR THE INFO...! VERY GOOD STUFF!
When I installed freenet manually on my Slackware system, I
untarred it to my home directory... I thought I would check
in $HOME/Freenet for freenet.jar and .freenetrc.
I don't expect that these functions will work 100% of the
time. I'd settle for 95%.

But I want this program to work, even if freenet.jar is not
in the classpath...
Also, tell me where freenet.ini or .freenetrc lives. I am
going to read this file in an attempt to find the port the
freenet server is running on.

I have noticed this... so I started using the

Fproxy is not very smart in my opinion. It's getting better
though.

I'm thinking that most perm freenet nodes have less
